Friday Night Drop-in Session with Christian de Sousa
After an incredible workshop with Christian last year, we are super excited to welcome him again to Lisbon. Christian will be offering his weekend workshop 'The Way of the Dancer' on October 3rd and 4th, and as part of this weekend AND open for ALL, we invite you to join on Friday Night.
> 2h30 of pure deep dance medicine, rooted in 5Rhythms and Movement Medicine maps.
📍Our dance space will be again the gorgeous Liceu Pedro Nunes, near Jardim da Estrela, Lisbon. It is big, has wooden floor and has gorgeous windows, surrounded by a beautiful garden, right in the center of Lisbon.
All bodies welcome. No previous experience needed.
This session will be taught in English. Translation to Portuguese can be given if needed.

If afterwards you decide to attend the whole weekend, you will still be able to join. The total extra amount to pay will be the weekend's regular ticket minus the value of the Friday Night ticket (200€)
✦ About the FACILITATOR ✦
Christian de Sousa has held space for thousands of people to go on transformative journeys through dance. Creator of the legendary Sweaty Thursdays in a south London church, he trained in 5Rhythms with Gabrielle Roth in 2005 and was invited by Ya’Acov & Susannah Darling Khan to become one of the first Pathfinder teachers of Movement Medicine in 2011.
As a DJ, he uses music to weave deep and subtle spaces for dancers to journey, connect, heal and create. He believes passionately in movement being a universally-accessible resource for our times and welcomes all peoples to the dancefloor, whatever ability, age, ethnicity, gender, sexual preference, size, shape and style.
Also influenced by Taoist and animist/shamanic teachings, he has studied in-depth with Malidoma Somé (Dagara medicine), Jean-Claude Audergon (Processwork) and Suprapto Suryodarmo (Amerta movement)
Born in Switzerland of mixed European ancestry, he grew up in England and developed his practice in London and other big cities. He lives in the south Devon hills with his family, and learns about enlightenment from the cats.

Shivani brings presence, warmth, full heart, wilderness and softness, depth and authenticity, freedom and lots of dance to all her offerings, from group sessions to 1-1 coaching. Trained in Dance/ Movement Psychotherapy and Movement Medicine in UK, she has been teaching Movement Medicine for the past 10 years in Lisbon and Aljezur, in UK and also online. She loves to dance; her dance and embodied presence is one of her main assets and inspirations to others, as much as her depth of feeling, and her quest for truth, freedom and authenticity in the way she lives her life. Her approach draws from other conscious dance and embodiment practices, tantra and conscious sexuality, psychotherapy, meditation and satsang.
